1. Who we are
Lorexsafaris is a destination management company and lodge operator based in Arusha, Tanzania, planning private safari journeys across northern Tanzania and operating Lorex House. For any question about this policy, write to hello@lorexsafaris.com.
2. Information we collect
When you use our trip planner, submit an enquiry, or write to us directly, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, travel dates and preferences, number of travellers, and any message you add. If you book a journey, we also collect passport, dietary, medical and emergency contact details necessary to arrange your trip and lodging.
Our website also collects standard technical information automatically — such as pages visited and general location derived from IP address — through analytics, to help us understand how the site is used.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare an itinerary and quotation
- To arrange and confirm bookings with camps, lodges, guides, airlines and other suppliers on your behalf
- To communicate with you before, during and after your journey
- To send occasional letters from the bush, only if you opt in when enquiring
- To improve our website and the journeys we offer
4. Sharing your information
Arranging a safari means sharing relevant details with the third parties who host and guide you — lodges, camps, airlines, park authorities and ground transport providers — strictly as needed to deliver your journey. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to deliver your journey and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent to being contacted. Write to hello@lorexsafaris.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
